GeoFields, Inc., today announced the completion of its third annual user conference for oil and gas pipeline operators. The event, held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Midtown Atlanta, was attended by many leading oil and gas pipeline operators and utilities, and attracted GeoFields software users from all over the United States.
“The GeoFields User Conference is a unique opportunity for new and existing users to acquire additional training and review the latest product developments while networking with their industry peers,” said Keith Chambless, executive vice president at GeoFields. “We are pleased with the continued growth of the GeoFields user community and glad to offer a forum for pipeline operators to share their unique perspectives and solutions with one another.”
Attendees networked with colleagues from other companies during events such as the CNN Studio tour, Georgia Aquarium visit and dinner receptions. Attendees gained insight and practical knowledge with client case studies and three tracks of educational product sessions, hands-on workshops and help desk sessions where users could get one-on-one assistance. The varied sessions allowed participants to choose tracks according to their needs and experience level. The hands-on workshops gave participants a chance to use software in a classroom style environment. Hands-on workshops included:
- Alignment Sheet Template Construction with DataFrame™ ASG
- Principles of Data Maintenance with Facility Explorer™ Data Maintenance
- Integrating Survey Data to the Corporate Database with RiskFrame® Data Loader and RiskFrame® Data Alignment
- Building Data-Driven Risk Models with RiskFrame® Modeler
In addition to the hands-on workshops, product managers gave first looks at the upcoming releases of DataFrame™ ASG, DataFrame™ Loader, Facility Explorer™ and DataFrame™ Data Maintenance, an ArcGIS® pipeline data maintenance extension.
