GeoFields, Inc., today announced the completion of its three day user conference for oil and gas pipeline operators. Held in Atlanta, Georgia on October 3–5, the event attracted GeoFields software users from all over the United States.
“We are extremely pleased to have so many of our users in one place learning, sharing and connecting with their colleagues,” said Keith Chambless, executive vice president at GeoFields. “The conference is also a unique opportunity for our users to learn more about our new product offerings and comment on the direction of the products.”
The event, held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Midtown Atlanta, marks the first time so many users of GeoFields’ software were in one place, able to meet each other and share ideas. The event gave attendees an unparalleled chance to network, learn how other customers are using the software and find out where products will be in the near future.
Attendees networked with colleagues from other companies during events such as the off-site dinner and Georgia Aquarium tour. They also got to give valuable feedback during the executive roundtable and hands-on workshops where users could use software in a classroom style environment. Hands-on workshops included:

- Data Loading and Aligning
“The feedback from the delegates has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Terry Allen, director of marketing. “We are glad to see our customers sharing their insights with each other and gaining valuable knowledge of how others use GeoFields software.” A post-event survey that was given showed that ninety five percent of attendees rated the conference overall good to excellent.
The conference is part of an ongoing worldwide initiative for GeoFields to better communicate and react to user’s needs. In addition to the user conference, GeoFields is also offering a seminar series that focuses on the challenges faced by pipeline operators with two upcoming events in Houston, Texas.
